The Special Lines Division, as the name suggests, is a
specialist insurance unit focusing on mainly books of business to be placed
on the London market via Binding Authority Contracts and Lineslip
arrangements. However, Special Lines does also act in the role of Broker on
individual risks into the "Open Market" for placement. We also operate,
somewhat uniquely, in the role of Underwriting Managers on certain areas of
business. We are particularly active in US, Canada and Australia but will
review business from any location.
We at Special Lines are driven by the need to sustain profitable business as
opposed to purely generating brokerage income. We have a manifest interest
in maintaining long-standing relationships with our markets and accordingly
we are conservative in our business ethos. Below you will see a brief review
